KRS: Nawrocki's judicial appointments need PM Tusk's countersignature to take effect
Poland's National Council of the Judiciary (KRS) declared on Wednesday that the judicial appointments signed by President Karol Nawrocki will only take effect once countersigned by Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The stance directly contradicts a June ruling by the Constitutional Tribunal, which held that the prime minister's signature is not required. The dispute between the president and the government over court appointments continues.
