Leopard 2A8 tank assembly plant to be built in Kaunas by YIT subsidiary

The Lithuanian subsidiary of Finnish group YIT Oyj has won the tender to build a Leopard 2A8 tank assembly plant in Kaunas. The facility is set to be completed within the coming months, with German capital playing the dominant role in the project. The plant forms part of the broader effort to strengthen Baltic defence capabilities.
