81% of Toddler Foods Are Ultra-Processed, Audit Finds
A grocery-store audit of nearly 2,800 toddler food products in Texas found that 81% were ultra-processed. Almost half failed at least one World Health Organization nutrient standard, most commonly due to excessive sugar, sodium, fat, or calorie content — suggesting these foods may be far less healthy than parents assume.
