Fauci pleads Fifth at Senate hearing on COVID origins
Former top U.S. health official Anthony Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and refused to answer questions at a Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing on the COVID-19 pandemic and its origins. The hearing was chaired by Sen. Rand Paul, who has accused Fauci of covering up a potential lab leak in China and lying to Congress. Fauci said he was acting on advice from his attorneys.
