KRS: Nawrocki's judicial appointments require PM Tusk's countersignature to take effect
Poland's National Council of the Judiciary (KRS) declared on Wednesday that the judicial assessor appointments made by President Karol Nawrocki will only take legal effect once countersigned by Prime Minister Donald Tusk. Without the prime minister's signature, the appointments have no legal force. The dispute centres on the boundaries of presidential and governmental powers in the judicial appointment process.
