Latvia's defence minister: Russia cannot attack NATO today

Latvian Defence Minister Raivis Melnis stated that Russia is currently incapable of launching a direct conventional attack on any NATO member state. He argued that the Kremlin, fully engaged in the war against Ukraine, would be committing a serious strategic mistake by opening a second front. The assessment is one of the more optimistic threat evaluations from Baltic officials.
