Polish weather agency issues red alert as heatwave above 35°C approaches

A heatwave bringing temperatures above 35°C will sweep most of Poland from Thursday. Poland's Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) has issued alerts for numerous regions, with the highest level-three warning in effect for the south-west. Forecasters say some warnings are likely to be extended.
