Vietnam bets on halal tourism after 600,000 Muslim visitors in 2025

Of the nearly 21 million tourists who visited Vietnam in 2025, 600,000 were Muslim travellers — just under 3% of all visitors. Vietnam has identified halal tourism as one of its most promising promotional directions and plans to actively attract more visitors from Muslim-majority countries, emphasising respect for cultural differences.
