Americas and Asian confederations blindsided by FIFA's World Cup private investment plan

The Americas governing body CONMEBOL said it is "deeply concerned" by the lack of due process surrounding FIFA's plan to bring private investment into the World Cup. The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) said it was "disappointed" by the approach. Both bodies said they were blindsided by the proposal.
