Google's SynthID watermark is hard to crack but won't stop AI misinformation
Google is expanding its SynthID watermarking technology, designed to label AI-generated content. At Google I/O, the company revealed its tools had been used to create over 100 billion AI images and videos, but experts warn that watermarking alone does not solve the AI misinformation problem.
