Prototype smart ring measures blood sugar without a needle
Engineers at the University of California have developed a prototype smart ring capable of non-invasive blood sugar measurement — long considered a holy grail of health wearables. Unlike existing rings that rely solely on biophysical sensors, this device also analyses sweat to track chemical biomarkers. Data is transmitted to a companion iPhone app.
