Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram sworn in as Poland's new Ombudsman

Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram was formally sworn in as Poland's Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) on July 29, taking her oath before the Sejm and receiving her appointment from the Speaker of the lower house. She was elected by the Sejm with Senate approval. Gregorczyk-Abram is a lawyer known for her rule-of-law activism.
