Volunteers rescue wildlife from devastating French wildfires

Massive wildfires ravaging France have devastated not only human communities but also wildlife, including deer, small mammals and insects vital to fragile ecosystems. Volunteer groups are combing burned areas searching for animal survivors to take into rehabilitation. Distressing images of disoriented deer fleeing the flames have spread widely on social media.
