Over 20,000 teacher vacancies in Poland — schools plugging gaps with retirees

Polish schools are heading into the new school year with over 20,000 teacher job postings listed in vacancy databases. The Education Ministry boasts the lowest number of vacancies in two years, but school principals acknowledge the staffing shortage is a real problem. The gap is largely being filled by retired teachers returning to work.
