Polish parliament to spend 1.3m złoty on new MP room furnishings
The Polish Sejm chancellery has launched a public tender worth 1.3 million złoty for new furniture in the parliamentary residence known as Dom Poselski, releasing visualisations of the renovated rooms for the first time. MPs have complained that the current interior style evokes the late communist era. Critics of the renovation have dismissed it as "putting lipstick on a corpse," questioning whether a cosmetic refresh addresses deeper issues.
