Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram Sworn in as New Polish Ombudsman

Lawyer Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram was sworn in before the Sejm on Wednesday, taking office as Poland's new Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman). She succeeds Prof. Marcin Wiącek, who held the position for five years. Gregorczyk-Abram is known for her activism in defence of the rule of law.
