Polish sabreurs finish 12th at Worlds; épée team narrowly lose to Ukraine

Poland's women's sabre team finished 12th in the team event at the Fencing World Championships in Hong Kong. The men's épée team came agonisingly close to the quarter-finals but were eliminated by Ukraine 40:41, missing out on a top-eight finish.
