Want to withdraw 40,000 PLN? Banks say travel elsewhere or take it in installments

Withdrawing a large sum of cash in Poland requires advance notice, and many towns no longer have bank branches with a cashier. A survey of twelve banks found that customers are typically told to travel to another city or withdraw smaller amounts repeatedly from ATMs. The problem is growing as banks continue to close physical branches.
