Bank Millennium's H1 Net Profit Up 39% to PLN 708m Despite Higher CIT

Bank Millennium posted a net profit of PLN 708m in the first half of the year, up 39% year-on-year. The result came despite a rise in the corporate income tax rate for banks to 30% and falling interest rates. The main drivers were sharply lower provisions for Swiss franc mortgage claims and strong loan growth.
