Banks raise mortgage rates by over 0.5 percentage points

After a period of falling rates, Polish banks have unexpectedly raised mortgage interest rates by over 0.5 percentage points this week. For new borrowers, this translates to tens of thousands of złoty more over the life of the loan. Credit brokers describe the current market as a lottery and advise clients to be cautious about timing their mortgage applications.
