US and Saudi Arabia strike Iran-backed militants in Iraq

US and Saudi warplanes struck Iran-backed militants in Iraq on Tuesday in response to more than two dozen drone attacks launched against US forces in recent days. Separately, Iran's Revolutionary Guards said they intercepted and halted three oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz early Wednesday. Tensions across the Middle East are sharply escalating.
