President Nawrocki may veto the Women on Boards directive
Women's advocacy organisations fear that President Nawrocki will veto legislation implementing the EU's Women on Boards directive, which requires large listed companies to increase female representation on their boards and supervisory councils. The directive's transposition is already overdue. A presidential veto would maintain male dominance in corporate governance and could expose Poland to EU consequences.
