Fręch turns match around after suspension, defeats Ann Li in Washington

Magdalena Fręch defeated Ann Li in the first round of the WTA 500 tournament in Washington after turning the match around following a weather-related suspension. The Polish player had been losing before the break but returned to the court in far better form and won in straight sets. The victory ended Fręch's five-match losing streak against the American.
