Trump and DOJ ask Supreme Court to toss $83.3M defamation award to E. Jean Carroll

President Donald Trump and the Department of Justice have asked the Supreme Court to overturn an $83.3 million defamation verdict in favour of E. Jean Carroll. The Supreme Court recently rejected Trump's bid to appeal a separate $5 million verdict also in Carroll's favour. The DOJ's involvement in the personal legal case has itself drawn scrutiny.
