Over 200 ADA members demand resignations after experts ejected from conference
More than 200 members of the American Diabetes Association have signed an open letter demanding the resignation of CEO Charles Henderson and chief scientific officer Rita Kalyani. The call follows the expulsion of five diabetes experts from the ADA's Scientific Sessions in New Orleans last month. Signatories also demand an independent investigation, a full apology to the expelled colleagues, and restoration of editorial independence at the ADA journal Diabetes Care. The ADA responded Tuesday by asking members for patience while a report is being prepared.
