HFPA sues Penske Media over Golden Globes acquisition in 113-page lawsuit

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association filed a 113-page federal lawsuit in Los Angeles against Penske Media Group on Tuesday, alleging the company fraudulently acquired the Golden Globe Awards and sought to monopolise the entertainment awards market. The suit charges PMC with monopolisation, unlawful restraint of trade and unfair business practices. Penske Media pushed back, calling HFPA a "defunct organisation" making "illegitimate claims."
