Hollywood Foreign Press sues Penske Media over Golden Globes acquisition

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association filed a federal antitrust lawsuit in Los Angeles against Penske Media Corporation, parent company of Variety. The HFPA alleges that PMC acquired the Golden Globe Awards in 2023 through a "sham process tainted by fraud." The case is before federal court.
