Oman proposes Malacca Strait model for Hormuz management

Oman proposed managing the Strait of Hormuz using the Strait of Malacca model, under which ships transiting the strait pay voluntary fees. Iran rejected the proposal and offered its own alternative. The Strait of Hormuz remains closed to traffic.
