Semirunnij wins gold by 0.11 seconds a day after returning from Milan Olympics

Władimir Semirunnij, a 23-year-old Russian-born athlete competing for Poland, returned from the Milan Olympic Games with a silver medal and almost immediately won a competition in Poland, taking gold by just 0.11 seconds. He declared that at the next Olympics he will be aiming for gold only. Just days earlier he had still been at a training camp in Italy.
