A thousand AI workers from OpenAI, Google and others petition US government for regulation

More than a thousand employees from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta and other AI companies have signed an open letter urging the US government to regulate the artificial intelligence industry. The move is unusual as workers from leading AI firms are publicly calling for oversight of their own sector. The letter is addressed to US federal authorities.
