US Wikimedia Foundation staff join union drive as management refuses recognition

US-based employees of the Wikimedia Foundation have announced their intention to join a union drive, following the lead of UK staff who made a similar announcement in June. Management at the nonprofit, which runs Wikipedia, declined to voluntarily recognise the union. This marks the most expansive labour organising effort in the foundation's history.
