Over 16,000 US cyclosporiasis cases — top grower warns peak may not have passed

More than 16,000 cases of cyclosporiasis — a foodborne parasitic illness — and over 300 hospitalizations have been recorded across the United States this summer. A top produce grower warned that the country may not yet have hit the peak of the outbreak. Federal officials, however, continue to insist that the food supply is safe.
