eBay pays $56 million to settle cyberstalking campaign against blogger couple
eBay and three former executives have agreed to pay $55.7 million to settle a lawsuit brought by a Massachusetts couple targeted with a harassment and cyberstalking campaign. The victims received live insects, a bloody pig mask and other disturbing items as part of an orchestrated stalking effort. The case exposed how senior eBay executives directed the campaign against bloggers who published content critical of the company.
