New Airbus A350-1000ULR sets record with 24-hour nonstop flight from Australia to France
The new Airbus A350-1000ULR completed an ultra-long test flight from Toulouse to Melbourne lasting 19 hours and 13 minutes on July 23–24, followed by a return journey of more than 24 hours — a record for a nonstop commercial airliner. The aircraft was purpose-built for Qantas Airways' Project Sunrise routes connecting Sydney with New York or London. Tickets for those routes are expected to go on sale in 2027.
