Crypto hacks reached a record high in the first half of 2026, with total losses surpassing $1 billion, according to security firm Blockaid. Ethereum-based projects suffered the most at $332 million in losses, closely followed by Solana projects at $326 million. The figures represent the worst first-half result for the crypto industry on record.
