PiS Could Expel Morawiecki Under Its Own Rules – But Chose Not To

Poland's Law and Justice party (PiS) did not expel former PM Mateusz Morawiecki or members of his Rozwój Plus association at Tuesday's Political Committee meeting. Party spokesman Rafał Bochenek claimed the Committee lacked the authority to do so, but Article 41 of the PiS statute explicitly grants it that power. The decision was effectively deferred despite the legal basis for expulsion existing.
