Johnson & Johnson has offered up to $5.5 billion to settle tens of thousands of US lawsuits alleging its talc-containing baby powder and related products caused cancer. The offer aims to bring to a close one of the longest-running and largest mass tort cases in American legal history. The company has contested the claims throughout the years-long litigation.
