Varta files for insolvency after Apple ends partnership

German battery maker Varta AG has filed for insolvency for three of its subsidiaries — Varta Microbattery, Varta Micro Production, and Varta Storage — after its key client, reported by Reuters to be Apple, ended their business relationship. The company's consumer batteries are widely sold across Poland and Europe.
