Apple hits $5 trillion market cap — only Nvidia has done it before

Apple's market capitalisation surpassed $5 trillion on Tuesday, making it only the second company in history to reach that valuation. Nvidia was the first, hitting $5.7 trillion in mid-May, but Apple has now overtaken it in market value.
