Poland Pumps Billions into Civil Defence — But Citizens Must Be Ready Too

Deputy Interior Minister Magdalena Roguska told parliament that the government is investing massive sums in civil defence, but stressed that even the best-trained services cannot function without prepared citizens. She said public safety ultimately depends on every individual's readiness to act in a crisis. Her remarks came during a Sejm debate on new crisis-management spending.
