Defendant in Salman Rushdie stabbing declines to testify at terrorism trial

The man on trial for the stabbing of author Salman Rushdie has chosen not to testify and not to call any witnesses in his federal terrorism case. The decision came at the defence phase of the trial. Rushdie survived the attack but lost sight in one eye and the use of one hand.
