Four in five baby foods are ultra-processed and fail WHO standards, US study finds
US researchers examined baby and toddler food products sold in grocery stores in Texas and found that four out of five qualified as ultra-processed. Nearly half of the products failed to meet WHO recommendations on sugar, salt, fat or calorie content. The findings raise urgent concerns about the nutritional standards of commercially available infant food.
