Le Pen confirms pledge to lower French retirement age to 62

Marine Le Pen confirmed at internal meetings on July 16–17 that National Rally will keep its pledge to lower France's retirement age from 64 back to 62, reversing Macron's flagship pension reform. She also tasked the party with studying additional ways to cut pension spending ahead of the formal campaign platform launch. One option under review is scrapping the rule allowing workers to retire on a full pension at 67 regardless of contributions.
