MP Król, suspected of bribery, seeks Żurek's help ahead of immunity vote
MP Wojciech Król, suspected by the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) of accepting nearly 1.5 million złoty in bribes, has sought the intervention of judge Waldemar Żurek, according to Onet. Król disputes the EPPO's jurisdiction over his case and is also requesting support from the Sejm Speaker over repeated searches of his home. A parliamentary ethics committee is set to consider the motion to lift his immunity on Wednesday.
