Poland's NFZ to gain power for unannounced hospital and private clinic inspections

A draft amendment to Poland's healthcare financing law, sent for public consultation, would grant the National Health Fund (NFZ) the right to carry out unannounced inspections of medical entities. Private clinics would also be required to disclose data on NFZ demand. The changes aim to tighten billing controls with the public payer.
