Vandalism at Medjugorje Shrine: Virgin Mary Statue Damaged, Polish Inscriptions Left

Police in Medjugorje have detained a suspect in connection with acts of vandalism at the famous Marian shrine in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A statue of the Virgin Mary was among the items damaged, and inscriptions in Polish were found at the scene. A fire also broke out at the site.
