Oceans losing oxygen at alarming rate, scientists warn of irreversible damage

Warming oceans are not only raising sea levels and driving deadly heatwaves, but are also depleting oxygen at an increasingly rapid pace, threatening marine life. Scientists warn that the scale of oceanic oxygen loss may soon approach a tipping point beyond which the consequences would be very difficult to reverse.
