Ex-Silesian marshal pocketed 29,600 zł in accrued holiday pay — auditors rule it illegal

Jakub Chełstowski, who served as marshal of Silesian Voivodeship from 2018 to 2024, collected 29,600 zł in accrued holiday pay upon leaving office. Two other members of the Silesian Voivodeship Board received an additional 17,000 zł in the same way. The Regional Audit Office in Katowice ruled these payments a clear violation of regulations.
