Security firm MTC lost Manston asylum contract but could earn £500m running it again
US private security company Management & Training Corporation (MTC), linked to Donald Trump's immigration crackdown, reported a drop in UK revenues from £28.4m to £17.6m in 2025 after losing its contract to run the heavily criticised Manston asylum centre in Kent. However, MTC could earn £500m managing the same site under a new contract running to 2036. Manston has faced widespread criticism over the conditions in which asylum seekers were held there.
