Chinese brands take 28% of Europe's PHEV market — VW Tiguan knocked off podium

Chinese car brands captured 28.3% of the European plug-in hybrid (PHEV) market in the first half of this year. Three Chinese models pushed the Volkswagen Tiguan out of the top three. Europe's failure to invest early enough in the PHEV segment allowed Chinese manufacturers to establish a dominant position.
